Hot Springs Abound

We’ll be staying at Riverbend hotsprings which has 5 riverside stone mineral pools, as well as 3 private pools and a sauna. You will have abundant natural hot springs at your fingertips.

Old Fashioned Christmas

The weekend we’ll be in TorC is close to Christmas. We will get to enjoy the Art Hop, Floating Lights Parade at Elephant Butte and other holiday festivities.

Yoga

4 Prana Flow Vinyasa classes will be challening, relaxing, meditative, and holistic. Mornings we will enjoy a 2 hour practice and afternoons/evenings a 1.5 hour lunar practice. A hefty dose of yoga, still leaving you plenty of time to soak and explore.

Free Time

Use your free time to relax, journal, walk the quiet streets of TorC and get some much needed R&R before the busy holidays come.

Friday 5pm Opening Circle

Friday 6pm – Lunar Prana Flow Yoga and Meditation – 1.5 hours

Friday 8pm – Optional Group Dinner at Bella Luca

Saturday 9am – Solar Prana Flow Yoga – 2 hours

Saturday 3pm – Lunar Prana Flow Yoga & Meditation & Trance Dance – 2 hours

Saturday Dusk – Optional Community Event – Elephant Butte Luminaria Beach Walk & Floating Lights Parade

Sunday 9am – Solar Prana Flow Yoga – 2 hours

Location

Yoga Classes will be held at the Mothership Yoga Lounge which is within walking distance of most lodging in TorC. Click here for a map. All lodging will be available at Riverbend for a centralized, community experience. Details to come soon about registration and room options. Single or double rooms will be available and we will pair you with a roommate if you want one but are coming alone.

I had a great time at the retreat. I brought my husband, who does not do yoga, and we were both saying at the end how even though we didn’t spend the entire time together we had a great experience and wonderful time to connect. I tend to push myself a lot in yoga and I learned how to step back and allow myself to do yoga. I came out of the weekend feeling calm, yet energized. What is your refund policy?

We have a $50 non-refundable registration fee. Up to October 1st we retain a 50% of all fees paid. After October 1st if you cancel you forfeit all money paid. Please understand we are reserving the entire Riverbend Hotsprings resort for our group therefore we must have strict cancellation policies. Thank you for understanding. If we are able to fill your spot, all money will be refunded minus the $50 non-refundable registration fee we will retain no matter what.

Do I have to come to all of the yoga classes and activities?

No. All classes and activities are optional.

What if I only want to come to one class?

You may purchase individual classes for $40 + tax per class.

I'm beginner, will I be okay in these classes?

The classes will be All Levels. This means that modifications will be given for each pose for those with injuries or just starting and the pace will be relatively slow. However, if you have NEVER done yoga before, this may not be the class for you. Level 2 and 3 poses will be included (with options for beginner’s who cannot do the full version.) Additionally we will not be covering in great detail some of the foundational practices of yoga like breathing and alignment. These classes are alignment-based and there will be thorough instruction on how to proceed but complete beginners may find this instruction inadequate. These classes will be appropriate for:

  • advanced beginners
  • adventurous or athletic beginners
  • Vinyasa Yoga practitioners
  • Students level 1, 2, or 3 who are willing to be challenged and sweat
I'm an advanced practitioner, will these classes be challenging enough for me?

I always teach to who is in the room. Because this workshop is All Levels, there may be level 1 students as well as level 2 and 3. I always give options for all levels. We tend to move slower and hold poses longer to accommodate this wide range of levels. For advanced students, holding poses longer and moving slower can actually be a challenge for your mind, while your body is sweating and building strength. If you are hoping for the most challenging class ever, you probably won’t find it here. But if you are looking for something to meditatively challenge your endurance and bring a sense of peace and calm while fine tuning your alignment and transitions, you’ll enjoy this retreat very much.
